Who We Are
Kelly O’Connor
Founder and facilitator
Kelly began her early career as receptionist at McDonald’s Corporation, became a senior EA at a Fortune 500 company, and rose to her most recent corporate role as Head of the Executive Office at LegalZoom. Kelly built a successful line of work by leaning in with grit, heart, and a relentless drive to learn and grow into a world class business partner. She’s worked alongside C-suite leaders in tech companies like Intuit earning the first executive assistant in the company's history to receive the title of “Game Changer” and her most recent achievement landed her on the NASDAQ podium as she helped LegalZoom become a publicly traded company.
In 2022, Kelly’s path shifted dramatically when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After completing treatment, she turned her experience into purpose, became a certified coach, and founded What Next Wellness, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women through the emotional and mental challenges of cancer recovery.
Now, Kelly is rising beyond cancer with renewed purpose. Channeling her passion and resilience back into the craft she knows best as Founder of Elevated Assistants. With deep expertise in strategic partnership, predictive thinking, and culture building, she is on a mission to redefine what’s possible for the assistant role. Activating assistants to step into their power as visionary business partners, strategic operators, and confident AI champions who help shape the future of modern organizations.
Kelly is a proud wife, step mom, dog mom, and enjoys traveling, painting, music, and a large glass of milk with a slice of peach cobbler.
